Device Diagnostic

Feel confident about device quality.

What is Device Diagnostic?

ResMed takes product usability, safety and performance seriously and complies with its legal obligations under the European Medical Device Regulation 2017/745. That’s why the AirSense 11 has an innovative device diagnostic feature that analyses brief acoustic samples from the motor and turbine to verify if your device noise levels meet our quality standards.

How does Device Diagnostic work?

During the device cool-down period, after your therapy has stopped, device diagnostic takes a brief, 10-second excerpt of internal device sounds from the motor and turbine and analyses them to verify if your device noise levels meet our quality standards. When device diagnostic is running, your screen will display the following message: “Device Diagnostic in progress, this will take 10 secs.”. You can choose how frequently you’d like device diagnostic to run these checks or turn it off altogether.

Please note that device diagnostic captures information about the internal sound of the machine using an acoustic sensor. It does not capture any sounds from outside the device. In order to conserve privacy, the device converts auditory information to code prior to transmission.
